Ride the Ruhrtal bike trail all the way from the source of the River Ruhr in Sauerland to its junction with the River Rhine.
Six days on the Ruhrtal bike trail along the Ruhr River valley, testing Cannondale and Hase bikes, basking in the scenery, and enjoying the cultural sights. You will experience the breathtaking countryside of Sauerland with its many nature reserves, national parks, and heathland. The first 2 days are spent riding through the tranquil expanse of hills and forests, up and down tiny roads. Then the scenery changes abruptly around Fröndenberg. The hills become lower, and the trail takes you past historic industrial monuments, as witnesses of a past culture, nestled in a beautiful landscape.
Some highlights along the riverside trail include the Arnsberg Castle, the magnificent lakes formed by dams on the Ruhr, and a fun variety of leisure activities.
