Kettwiesel TWO

On the Kettwiesel TWO, two people sit side by side on a tandem trike. This makes communication easy: talking, looking and reacting — all without turning around. Ideal for couples, friends, families, companions, care settings, therapy and inclusive mobility.

On this side-by-side tandem, one person steers, brakes and changes gear. This makes operation clear and safe. The passenger can pedal too or simply enjoy the ride, depending on their abilities.

The Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 100 Nm gets the Kettwiesel TWO moving with confidence. Even when fully loaded, on inclines or at low speeds, the assistance remains powerful and easy to control.

The Rohloff E-Shift makes riding particularly comfortable. The assistance and gearing are coordinated so that the TWO remains calm and controlled even at walking pace. The pedalling speed can be set to suit the riders — for example, to a cadence of 50 or 70 revolutions per minute.

The seats can be adjusted independently without tools, and both swivel to make getting on and off easier. The backrests are adjustable using quick-release levers. Each seat moves along a rail, forwards and downwards or backwards and upwards. This enables the TWO to accommodate people of very different heights — from 1.30 m to 2.00 m.

The upper handlebar on the side-by-side tandem is adjustable for height and reach. This makes it easy to adapt the seating and steering position to different riders — for a relaxed posture and secure control for both people on the trike.

The adjustable front suspension fork and MacPherson rear suspension have already proven themselves on the Kettwiesel ONE. With 70 mm of suspension travel, this bicycle for two rides comfortably over uneven paths, cobblestones and forest tracks. The spring preload can be adjusted to the combined weight of both riders using the integrated on-board tool.

Thanks to the dual freewheel, the passenger can actively pedal — or simply ride along when their own strength is not sufficient. A folding footrest is available as an option for even greater comfort. When active pedalling is required for therapeutic reasons, a magnetic freewheel lock can be fitted in seconds.

The Kettwiesel TWO uses the Bosch system. This makes it compatible with many digital functions, displays and tools from the Bosch ecosystem — useful for navigation, range, servicing and everyday riding.

The side-by-side tandem can be made significantly more compact for transport and storage: fold the seat backs flat, fold down the handlebar, loosen the frame bolts and use a cordless screwdriver to telescope the frame automatically. The packed dimensions are 180 × 117 × 69 cm. The Kettwiesel TWO can be transported on an Allround rear-mounted car rack.
