FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Hase Bikes also offer cargo bikes?

Yes. The Gravit is a cargo bike with a large load platform that can carry up to 70 kg (154 lb). The total load capacity for the bike is an impressive 200 kg (441 lb). What makes the Gravit so special? The load platform can be removed in just a few quick steps, and the wheelbase is adjustable, like the Pino’s. This means that the frame length can be shortened, making it possible to transport the bike on a rear-mounted car rack. The bike is available in two different versions! As a pure gravel bike (Gravit DUST) and as a city bike (Gravit CITY E).

How long has Hase Bikes been around?

Hase Bikes was founded in 1994 by Marec Hase in Bochum. With one employee, a coach house and two small production runs. Today we manufacture in Waltrop, NRW, with over 115 employees and ship our bikes to more than 30 countries.

Are you a start-up?

No. Hase Bikes has over 30 years of company history, several design awards (Red Dot, iF Gold Award, Eurobike Green Award) and an entry in the Guinness World Records: in 2003 we linked 62 Kettwiesel trikes together – the longest bicycle chain in the world at the time.

Where are your bikes manufactured?

All Hase Bikes are manufactured in our workshop in Waltrop, NRW. We develop and build in Germany. That is one of the reasons our bikes are the way they are.

What is the Schaltwerk?

The Schaltwerk is our flagship store in Waltrop – over 400 m²: showroom, consultation, service and a great café, all in one. You can test all models on site. Do make sure to book an appointment so we can give you the time you need.

Who founded Hase Bikes?

Marec Hase founded the company in 1994. His first steps with specialist bikes came even earlier: at 17 he won the German “Jugend forscht” competition with a self-built tandem trike. Today he heads the engineering department and continues to develop every new bike himself. Kirsten Hase built up marketing and communications and realised the Schaltwerk as a flagship store.

Why are Hase Bikes more expensive than other bicycles?

Because we are a craft manufacturer, not a mass producer. Every bike is hand-built in Waltrop, developed by us and fitted with carefully selected components. Once you have ridden a Hase Bike, the difference is immediately clear.

What is the Kettwiesel ONE by Hase Bikes?

The Kettwiesel ONE is the centrepiece of our range: a trike for adults and young people that suits everyone – from physically active riders to people with physical limitations, balance problems or those during or after rehab. It uses the delta design with one steering wheel at the front and two drive wheels at the rear, has a chair with backrest, a MacPherson suspension with 70 mm travel and can be adjusted in minutes for body heights from approx. 1.10 m to 2.00 m and up to 140 kg rider weight. The Kettwiesel ONE is a trike for adults that you can ride straight away – no settling-in period, no balancing, with or without electric assistance.

Which models and variants of the Kettwiesel ONE are available?

The Kettwiesel ONE family includes several variants for different requirements:

Kettwiesel ONE – the core of the Kettwiesel series, with lower handlebar, Shimano EP6 Cargo motor and Shimano Nexus Di2 5-speed gearing.

Kettwiesel ONE UP – the upper handlebar variant, also with Shimano EP6 Cargo motor, for riders who prefer the familiar handlebar position on a trike.

Kettwiesel ONE PLUS – with lower handlebar, the powerful Bosch Performance Line CX motor (100 Nm, 400 % assistance) and stepless Enviolo Automatiq shifting. Our premium Kettwiesel ONE.

Kettwiesel ONE UP PLUS – like the PLUS, but with upper handlebar.

Kettwiesel ONE REHA and Kettwiesel ONE UP REHA – specially equipped trikes for adults with physical limitations. Both have an aid item number for cost coverage by German statutory health insurers.

Kettwiesel ONE Handbike – for people who cannot or can barely use their legs and want to propel and steer their trike with their arms.

Which variant suits you depends on your physical situation, intended use and preferences – best tried out at a dealer.

What is the difference between the upper and lower handlebar on the Kettwiesel ONE trike?

The upper handlebar looks like a conventional bicycle handlebar and therefore feels familiar when standing still. In practice, however, it is not ideal for the trike geometry: the arms are raised higher, which can become tiring on longer rides. The lower handlebar looks unfamiliar at first – but feels immediately more intuitive and comfortable on a first test ride. The arms hang relaxed downwards, the shoulders stay loose, and the position can be individually adjusted to a very natural posture. Around 80–90 % of our customers come in wanting an upper handlebar – and leave the Schaltwerk with a trike fitted with a lower handlebar.

Can the Kettwiesel ONE tip over?

Tipping over is virtually impossible thanks to the delta design with two rear wheels. The low centre of gravity, the MacPherson suspension and the integrated differential ensure that the trike remains safe and stable even when cornering at speed.

What is the delta design?

Delta trike means: one wheel at the front for steering, two wheels at the rear for drive and stability. This design makes the trike tip-resistant, ensures a low centre of gravity and enables a very tight turning circle. We are so convinced by it that we build exclusively delta trikes today.

What body heights is the Kettwiesel ONE suitable for?

All variants of the Kettwiesel ONE can be adjusted quickly and steplessly for body heights from approx. 1.10 m to 2.00 m. The frame extends in length without any changes to the chain or other components. The maximum rider weight is 140 kg.

How heavy is the Kettwiesel ONE?

From approx. 35 kg, depending on specification. Weight depends mainly on motor, battery and gearing.

Is the Kettwiesel ONE foldable?

Not in the classic sense – but it can be compacted very effectively. The seat folds flat, the frame slides together, and the trike then fits in most estate car boots and on certain rear-mounted car racks. For everyday storage, it can be parked upright and takes up very little floor space that way.

How do I store the Kettwiesel ONE if I don’t have a garage?

All variants of the Kettwiesel ONE can be stood upright on the rear wheels and then take up far less space than when in riding position. Like any bicycle it can also be locked up outside – with a rain cover for the seat so it doesn’t soak up water in the rain.

How do I lock the Kettwiesel ONE?

There are several options for this: The best way is to use a conventional chain or U-lock, which you pass through the wings of the rear frame. For some versions of the Kettwiesel ONE, there's also the option to mount a frame lock on the front fork. Your dealer will be happy to advise you on suitable solutions for your model!

Can I mount a phone or sat-nav on the Kettwiesel ONE?

Yes. There is a suitable universal mount as an accessory – tailored to the handlebar geometry of the Kettwiesel ONE trike.

How much does the Kettwiesel ONE cost?

The Kettwiesel ONE starts at €8,100. The exact price depends on motor, gearing and specification. We offer top-seller configurations that we keep ready-built and can therefore offer at a lower price than fully individual custom bikes. The current price for your preferred configuration can be found in the configurator at hasebikes-konfigurator.com.

Can I take my dog with me on the Kettwiesel ONE?

Yes. A dog basket can be attached to the Cargo Rack for the Kettwiesel ONE. Your dog then rides along at the back – and you have both hands free.

When does the Kettwiesel ONE need to go in for a service?

That depends heavily on how you ride. You will find the service pass with exact intervals in the owner’s manual for your trike.

Are puncture-protection tyres available for your bikes?

Yes, most of our bikes come with puncture-protection tyres as standard. All tyres used – and most other accessories – are standard bicycle parts.

Can I fix a puncture on the Kettwiesel ONE myself?

Yes. All components used – tyres, inner tubes, valves – are standard parts that you can replace yourself, just as on a regular bicycle. On a trike it is actually even a little easier: just lay it on its side, and you can remove the inner tube from the tyre without taking off the wheel.

What is a top-seller and what is a custom bike at Hase Bikes?

Top-sellers are pre-configured bikes that we have in stock. You only choose your accessories – and delivery times are very short, sometimes just a few days. Because we produce them in larger quantities, we can offer them at a lower price than custom bikes. Custom means: fully individual – frame colour, motor, gearing, accessories, everything configured to your wishes and built personally for you in our workshop in Waltrop. That takes more time and naturally costs a little more, but in return you get exactly the bike tailored to your needs. Current delivery times for top-sellers and custom bikes can vary by season – ask your dealer directly.

What is the difference between the Kettwiesel ONE and the Kettwiesel ONE PLUS?

The main difference is in the motor and gearing: the Kettwiesel ONE comes with the Shimano EP6 Cargo motor and Shimano Nexus Inter-5E Di2 gearing. The Kettwiesel ONE PLUS has the more powerful Bosch Performance Line CX motor (100 Nm, 400 % assistance) and the stepless Enviolo Automatiq shifting – for those who want maximum support and absolute comfort when changing gear.

What is the Pino by Hase Bikes?

The Pino is our step tandem: one person sits lower at the front in a recumbent seat, one person sits higher at the rear on a conventional saddle. This design makes the Pino a tandem for people with and without physical limitations – the person at the front can ride completely passively or actively pedal, the person at the rear steers. The Pino is particularly suited to families with children, couples where one person has a physical limitation, and anyone who simply enjoys riding together. The front seat is suitable for people from approx. 1.00 m in height – not just for children, but expressly for adults too.

Which Pino models are available?

The Pino family consists of three models:

Pino – the mechanical tandem without electric assistance, available with various gearing options (Rohloff Speedhub, Enviolo stepless or Shimano Deore). For those who want to ride under their own steam.

Pino E – the electrically assisted tandem with Shimano EP6 Cargo motor (85 Nm, 410 % assistance factor).

Pino E CARGO – like the Pino E, but with dedicated cargo equipment: Cargo Bag and Cargo Rack with a matching bag under the front seat for up to 80 litres of volume. The step tandem that is simultaneously family taxi, shopping trolley and car replacement.

Is the front seat on the Pino only for children?

No. The front seat is expressly designed for adults too. The Pino tandem’s wheelbase can be extended via a telescopic tube on the front frame to accommodate people up to nearly 2.00 m at the front. Anyone who wants to sit in the front can: children, adults, people with and without physical limitations.

Do I need to strap myself in or hold on at the front of the Pino tandem?

Strapping in is not necessary. There are grab handles on either side of the seat – useful for getting used to the feel of the tandem, but not really needed after a short settling-in period either. For children, people with limitations or those who feel less confident, pelvic and 5-point harnesses are of course available as accessories for the front seat.

What should I keep in mind on my first tandem ride? Is tandem riding difficult?

No, tandem riding only needs a short settling-in period and then feels completely natural. The first attempts are usually a little wobbly, though. This is down to the higher centre of gravity created by two people on the tandem. The solution: set the saddle a little lower for the first rides and build up speed fairly quickly – after just a few metres the tandem runs quietly and stably.

What body heights is the Pino suitable for?

Front: approx. 1.00 m to 2.00 m. Rear (pilot): approx. 1.50 m to 2.00 m. Leg length is the deciding factor – the tandem can be adjusted very individually at both front and rear.

What is the payload of the Pino tandems?

The maximum payload is 225 kg, of which a maximum of 120 kg on the front seat. The unladen weight is from approx. 25 kg depending on specification.

Can I take my dog with me on the Pino?

Yes – either at the front on the seat with a lead or harness, or in the Cargo Rack Bag under the front seat. The bag has an optional mesh panel that keeps pets safely inside.

Does the Pino fit on a standard rear-mounted car rack?

Yes. With just a few steps you remove the front seat and fold the handlebars in – the tandem then fits on standard rear-mounted car racks.

Can I take the Pino on the train?

Yes, in most cases that works well: remove the front seat, slide the frame together and fold the handlebars in – done. It then counts as a regular bicycle and can travel in the bike compartment.

Can the person at the rear of the tandem be smaller or lighter than the person at the front?

Yes. The Pino stabilises itself while riding. For getting on and off, the Hase Bikes double kickstand ensures the tandem stands safely – even when the weight at the front is greater.

Is a Bosch motor available for the Pino?

Not yet – but we hear this request regularly and are happy to look into it.

What is the difference between the Gravit CITY E and the Gravit DUST?

The Gravit CITY E is built for the city: agile, with a Shimano motor and – combined with the spacious Gravit Textilbox – perfect for everyday use. The Gravit DUST combines cargo bike and gravel bike – with the sporty Shimano GRX800 derailleur gearing, hydraulic disc brakes, drop bars and tyre profile for gravel, mud and forest tracks. Both models have a removable cargo board that extends the cargo area to approx. 50 × 85 cm.

Can I take the Gravit on the train?

Yes. The cargo board (with or without the textile box) can be removed tool-free with a single movement. With the cargo board removed and the frame slid together, the Gravit counts as a regular bicycle and may travel in the bike compartment.

Can I finance the Gravit with a cargo bike subsidy?

Yes, subsidies for cargo bikes are possible from 70 kg payload – Gravit CITY E and Gravit DUST may qualify. Your dealer knows the current schemes in your region and can help.

Can I get a subsidy from my health insurance for my trike?

In many cases yes. If a trike is medically necessary for you – for example after a stroke, with muscle diseases, MS, balance disorders or other conditions – your health insurer may cover the costs. A medical prescription is generally required. Our rehab guide at hasebikes.com/service/reha-ratgeber explains the various options and procedures.

Do Hase Bikes trikes have aid item numbers?

Yes. Our Adaptive Cycles Kettwiesel ONE REHA, Kettwiesel ONE UP REHA, Trix and Trets have aid item numbers relevant for cost coverage by statutory health insurers in Germany. Which number applies to your preferred model can be found out from your dealer or on the linked product pages.

Can I cycle if I have balance problems or dizziness?

Yes. A trike is the answer to balance problems when cycling: it stands on its own, you never have to balance for a single moment. Around 80 % of people who come to us at the Schaltwerk because of dizziness go on to ride a trike. It usually works straight away, without any adjustment period.

I am older and feel uncertain when starting and stopping – is a trike right for me?

Very probably. The biggest advantage of a trike is that you never have to balance – neither when starting nor when stopping. You sit down, push on the pedals and go. Many of our customers are surprised at how secure they feel immediately on one of our adult trikes.

I’ve had a stroke. Can I still cycle?

That depends on your individual situation – but yes, for many people the Kettwiesel ONE is a genuine solution after a stroke. One-sided paralysis or limited hand function can be compensated with single-hand operation and adapted accessories. Best discussed in a personal consultation with us or one of our dealers.

Can I ride with one arm or one hand?

Yes. The Kettwiesel ONE can be equipped with single-hand operation – brakes, gears and motor control are combined on one side of the handlebar. We use this solution whenever one arm or one hand is not available for any reason.

Which bikes are suitable for muscle conditions or muscle weakness?

The Kettwiesel ONE with a high-assistance motor takes as much of the muscle work from you as needed. Additionally, pedal swing arms for knee relief, heel straps and special pedals with calf support can be retrofitted to keep the leg safely in position.

I have knee problems and can’t bend or straighten my knee well – can I still cycle?

Often yes. The Kettwiesel ONE has an adjustable suspension fork that also influences the entry height. There is also a pedal swing arm that reduces the range of knee movement while pedalling. In a personal consultation we will work out together which combination suits you and your knees.

Can I cycle with a trike even though I have Multiple Sclerosis?

Yes. A particular advantage of the Kettwiesel ONE for people with MS: you do not have to hold on continuously – even if you need to let go for a moment, the trike stays stable. Pain in joints and varying daily condition are well compensated by the comfortable suspension and ergonomic seat.

Can I cycle if I have spasticity?

With the right accessories, that is very possible in many cases. Heel straps keep the feet on the pedals; special pedals with calf support hold the leg. What exactly suits you depends on your individual situation – best clarified in a consultation.

I have neuropathy / polyneuropathy. What do you recommend?

It depends on the specific symptoms. In many cases the Kettwiesel ONE with adapted pedal accessories (pedals with heel straps, special pedals with calf support) is a good solution, as the feet stay securely on the pedals even when sensation is limited.

Can my child with Down syndrome join in?

Yes. Depending on ability, there are various options: at the front on the Pino as an active co-rider – where they can pedal along and also pause at any time thanks to the freewheel – or, depending on the individual situation, as a rider on the Trix, Trets or Kettwiesel ONE.

I have an amputation or use a prosthesis. Can I still ride?

We have solved this for many people already. Missing limbs – whether hands, arms or legs – can be compensated with special solutions: shoulder steering, single-hand operation, dedicated pedal holders. We will give you direct, honest advice about what is possible.

I use a wheelchair. Can I transfer to the Kettwiesel ONE?

In many cases yes. The Kettwiesel ONE is deliberately designed so that you don’t have to step up – you sit down as you would on a chair. If you can transfer from your wheelchair to a normal chair on your own, you can probably get onto the Kettwiesel ONE on your own too. The Cargo Rack at the rear of the trike transports your folding wheelchair.

Can I cycle even though I have back problems and can no longer sit on a normal saddle?

That is exactly what the Kettwiesel ONE is made for. The recumbent seat with backrest supports the spine, the MacPherson suspension absorbs bumps, and you sit comfortably rather than balancing on a saddle. Many of our customers come to us with back problems after trying a large number of other saddles and finally find the right solution for continuing to cycle with the Kettwiesel ONE.

After prostate surgery I can no longer sit on a normal saddle – is there a solution?

Yes. The comfortable seat of the Kettwiesel ONE is not a saddle alternative – it is a completely different way of sitting. Pressure no longer rests on the sensitive area; instead it is distributed across the seat and back. Many people in this situation finally find their way back onto a bike after a long break from cycling.

I need a rollator – how can I bring it along on the bike?

If you need a rollator in everyday life, it obviously needs to be there when you arrive at your destination. With the Cargo Rack for the Kettwiesel ONE, your rollator simply rides along at the rear of the trike.

Can I cycle if I have brittle bone disease (Osteogenesis imperfecta)?

The MacPherson suspension of the Kettwiesel ONE with 70 mm travel is specifically suited to comfortable riding with sensitive bones and spinal conditions. It absorbs bumps before you feel them. We recommend a personal consultation to set up seat and accessories individually.

I have back problems and need spinal support. What can I do?

The seat of the Kettwiesel ONE has a backrest that you can adjust in angle and position. There are also accessories such as a headrest, shoulder pads and seat position adapter that provide extra support and an individually adjusted seating position.

Which accessories are worth having and where do I get them?

That depends on how you ride and what you need. Classics for almost everyone: rear-view mirror, flag for better visibility, lock, smartphone holder and rain cover for the seat. If you ride with a limitation, you often need specific solutions – single-hand operation, pedal swing arm, heel straps or walking aid holder. Accessories are available from all bicycle dealers or at the Schaltwerk in Waltrop. The full overview can be found in the configurator at hasebikes-konfigurator.com.

What is single-hand operation and who is it for?

Single-hand operation is an in-house development by Hase Bikes for everyone who cannot use one arm or hand, or can only use it in a limited way – for example after a stroke, with hemiparesis, amputation or thalidomide damage. Brakes and gears are combined on one side so the trike can be operated completely with one hand. This solution allows many people who could no longer ride a bike to be mobile again.

What is the pedal swing arm and when do I need it?

The pedal swing arm is a Hase Bikes accessory developed specifically for people with limited knee mobility or reduced leg flexion. It reduces the angle the knee has to travel through while pedalling – ideal for restricted knee movement, after operations or with arthritis. Many customers can cycle again with it even though a normal pedalling motion would be painful or impossible.

Do I need indicators on my trike?

If you have limited movement on one side of your body, or need both hands on the handlebars at all times, hand signals are no longer an option. In those cases a handlebar-mounted indicator is not a comfort accessory – it is simply necessary for safety in traffic.

What is the walking aid holder?

The walking aid holder is a solution we developed to transport a walking aid – commonly known as a crutch – safely on the trike. If you need a walking aid, you cannot get far at your destination without it. With this holder, it simply travels with you, attached to the rear of the trike, always within reach.

What is the Cargo Rack for the Kettwiesel ONE?

The Cargo Rack is a luggage system for the rear of the Kettwiesel ONE. It carries up to 30 kg and is incredibly versatile: rollators, wheelchairs, dog baskets, bags – all transportable. For many riders with physical limitations it is not an optional extra but essential: if you need a rollator, you need it at your destination too. The Cargo Rack makes that possible.

What are special pedals with heel straps and when are they useful?

On the recumbent seat of the Kettwiesel ONE and the front seat of the Pino, the foot can slide off the pedals more easily than on an upright bicycle due to the body position. Pedals with heel straps keep the foot securely in position – the foot rests comfortably in the strap and cannot drop down. For people with spasticity, limited foot control or polyneuropathy they are generally essential.

What is the difference between the special pedal with calf support and a regular heel strap?

The special pedal with calf support not only secures the foot but also stabilises the entire leg up to the calf. This is important for people with spasticity, severely limited leg motor function or lacking muscle control in the lower leg. The calf support holds the leg beyond the pedal – standard pedal accessories are often not sufficient in these cases.

What is the Hase Bikes double kickstand and what makes it special?

The double kickstand is a forged in-house product from Hase Bikes with a 700 mm support width. It carries 100 kg and stands so solidly that even heavily loaded Gravit cargo bikes or the Pino with a co-rider can be parked safely without the bike tipping over or anyone needing to hold it. It is the only stand that allows the person at the front of the Pino to get on and off safely without the bike sliding away. To fold it in, simply push the bike forward.

What is the Gravit Textilbox?

The Gravit Textilbox is a collapsible cargo box for the Gravit cargo bikes, made from Canvas X-Pac VX21 – an extremely light, tear-resistant and water-repellent fabric. It carries up to 70 kg, has a lid to protect against wind and weather and can be folded flat when not in use. A child seat with 3-point harness can optionally be integrated.

Can the seat of the Kettwiesel ONE or the Pino get wet?

Yes, the seat can get wet in the rain and soak up water – you should avoid that. For all our models there are matching rain covers as accessories that protect the seat when the bike is parked outside or when you ride in the rain. It is worth ordering one at the same time as your bike.

Which e-bike motors are available at Hase Bikes?

Depending on the model, Hase Bikes uses different motors: the Bosch Performance Line CX (100 Nm, max. 750 W, 400 %), the Shimano EP6 Cargo (85 Nm, max. 500 W, 410 %) and the Shimano STEPS EP5 (60 Nm, 250 W, 200 %) for entry-level models. Which suits you depends on how much support you need and on which terrain you ride.

What does torque mean for an e-bike motor?

Torque (in Nm) describes how powerfully the motor assists when you pedal – important on hills, with heavy loads or when you have limited leg strength. 100 Nm (Bosch Performance Line CX) is noticeably more powerful than 60 Nm (Shimano STEPS EP5).

What is the assistance factor?

The assistance factor indicates how much additional power you receive from the motor. 400 % means: if you pedal with 100 W, the motor adds 400 W – giving you a combined output of 500 W. A high assistance factor is particularly important for people with limited leg strength or for long tours.

How far can I ride on a single charge?

There is unfortunately no simple answer – manufacturer figures for standard e-bikes cannot be transferred directly to trikes and tandems. Higher vehicle weight, two riders on a tandem or steep terrain all use significantly more energy. We offer batteries from 545 Wh to 800 Wh. We are happy to advise you on which battery is right for you.

How do I charge and look after my battery correctly?

Best charged at room temperature, avoiding extreme heat and cold. For storage: dry, cool, with a charge level of 30–60 %. Always use the original charger and clean the contacts regularly.

Are my Bosch batteries and chargers compatible with the Kettwiesel ONE?

Yes. If you already have a bike with a current Bosch motor, you can share the battery and charger between the two.

Which gearing system is right for me?

That depends on how you ride and how much shifting comfort you want. Hub gears require little maintenance and can be shifted while stationary – great for everyday use. Derailleur gears offer a wider range and are better for sporty riding and hills. If you don’t want to think about shifting at all: the Enviolo Automatiq and the Rohloff E-Shift select the gear ratio fully automatically. A detailed overview can be found at hasebikes.com/service/technik-komponenten/schaltungen

What is the Enviolo Automatiq?

The Enviolo Automatiq is a stepless electronic hub gear that adjusts automatically to your cadence. You just pedal – the gearing does the rest. No shifting, no gear jumps. You can concentrate fully on traffic or your route.

What is the Rohloff Speedhub?

The Rohloff Speedhub is a high-end gear hub with 14 speeds and a 526 % gear range. The hub is manufactured in Germany, is virtually maintenance-free and extremely long-lasting. It offers a range otherwise only achievable with derailleur gearing, combined with the reliability and low maintenance of a hub gear.

What is the Hase Bikes 11-speed linear gear system?

An in-house development by Hase Bikes: the shifting components run in line with the chain rather than hanging downwards. This creates more ground clearance, is more compact than conventional derailleur gearing and is specifically designed to work with the length-adjustable frame of the Kettwiesel ONE trike.

What is the MacPherson suspension of the Kettwiesel ONE?

The Kettwiesel ONE has a purpose-built suspension system combining steering, a highly sensitive spring and damping – inspired by automotive engineering and optimised for the trike. Travel is 70 mm; spring preload can be adjusted with the included on-board tool for rider weights up to 140 kg.

How do I transport the Kettwiesel ONE in a car?

Fold the seat flat, slide the frame together. The trike then fits in most estate car boots. Alternatively, certain specialist rear-mounted car racks work too. Setting up on arrival is simple: pull the frame out, fold the seat up, adjust the handlebars – done.

How do I store the Kettwiesel ONE in a space-saving way?

Stand it upright on the rear wheels – the trike then takes up very little floor space and is easy to move around. This is also a tried-and-tested method for dealers with limited showroom floor space.

Does the Pino fit on a standard rear-mounted car rack?

Yes. With just a few steps you remove the front seat, slide the frame together and fold the handlebars in – the tandem then fits on standard rear-mounted car racks.

Can I take the Gravit on the train?

Yes, but only without the cargo board. The cargo board can be removed tool-free with a single movement. Without the cargo board the Gravit counts as a regular bicycle and may – in most cases – travel in the bike compartment of trains and ICE services.
